Sri Lanka crushed Australia by eight wickets to register their first win in the Commonwealth Bank tri-series at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 17 February 2012.
Chasing 152 to win, Sri Lanka reached 152 for two in 24.1 overs, registering an emphatic win with 16.5 overs to spare.
Skipper Mahela Jayawardene played a fine innings of 61 not out off 67 balls, which included five boundaries.
